LATIN TRENDS MAGAZINE 100th ISSUE ANNIVERSARY

On this evening at Stage 48 in Manhattan, NY, Latin Trends was celebrating the release of its 100^th issue, with Roselyn Sanchez on the cover and in the flesh this evening, hosting the festivities also Dominican singer Leslie Grace, who also appeared on another Latin Trend cover, made an appearance while performing a trio of songs. They also had a duo that appeared on a Latin Trends cover, The Serrano Sisters, women boxing champion from Puerto Rico.

Juan Guillen, publisher of Latin Trends Magazine stepped up and spoke about the vision and what Latin Trends was about and promised some surprises to come. He also introduced the audience to the magazine’s staff and in one surreal moment, this reporter could recall a few years back, when he was given the chance to show his wares back when the publication was called DTM. Juan has come a long way and it was quite a night to be on hand for this milestone in not only Latin Trends but by extension Latino history.

“We love people, we embrace people, and we want to share our culture with everybody,” said Guillen. “We had the audacity to change our mission statement because we wanted to inform, entertain and inspire not just our community but the forward-thinking, meaning everybody. We love you all, and we appreciate you loving us back.”

It was an Honor for me to be there and to be invited as a VIP guest to The Latin Trends 100th Issue Anniversary Party, not only to blog about it but because am a Latina Born in Venezuela it makes me smile to see other Latinos succeed in this country and accomplish all their dreams and goals they set for themselves. I also want to Thank my friend Naty from aloveaffairwithfashion for telling me about it.

My highlights for the night was meeting Roselyn Sanchez, she was extremely humble and so nice, i wish i had more time to talk with her but the few minutes of her time she give me, was enough we even share a few smiles with each other thanks to an inside joke i had to deliver for my husband due that she's one of his favorite actress lol, i also want to thank my Photographer friend MikeTh3Law for all the amazing photos he took of the event and of me that night we captured some amazing moments.
